Cliff read law at Victoria University, Australia. He completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University. He was admitted on the roll of the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Federal Court of Australia, the High Court of New Zealand as an Australian Legal Practitioner. He was called to the Mauritius Bar in 2019.
As a barrister, his practice includes all areas of commercial and civil litigation, and provides general corporate advisory relating to doing business in Mauritius and Australia. He also counsels companies on labour and employment issues, focusing on anti-sexual harassment issues at the workplace amongst others. He sits as an external independent professional on a number of inquiry committees.
Cliff is well-travelled, with business leadership series around Asia. He was appointed Commissioner for the Public Service Commission for three years. Cliff started his professional career as a qualified accountant working with the Australian Taxation Office and KPMG as Tax Manager amongst others. Cliff has more than 30 years’ experience working with both the private/public sector, both in Mauritius and Australia. He has represented clients from all walks of life and offers his best in every case he handles, big or small, simple or complex.
Cliff also provides legal assistance to U.S. Embassy in Mauritius and Seychelles.
